Sudhakar Venkatesh, MD
Mayo Clinic

A pioneer in the clinical applications of MR Elastography, Dr. Venkatesh is a Professor of Radiology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He widely regarded as a clinical expert in MR Elastography of the liver. He currently chairs the Disease focus Panel on Liver Fibrosis at the Society of Abdominal Radiology. His research interests are in MRI techniques for evaluation and characterization of diffuse liver disease and focal liver lesions. He has focused on improving MRE techniques for various clinical applications and has published extensively in this field.

Claude Sirlin, MD
UC San Diego

Renowned in his field, Dr. Sirlin founded and directs UC San Diego Health’s Liver Imaging Group, which actively collaborates with hepatologists, surgeons, pathologists and statisticians to advance screening, diagnosis, treatment and outcomes of individuals with liver disease. He is also the co-director of the Cancer Imaging Program at Moores Cancer Center, chair of the Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System Committee for the American College of Radiology, and co-director of the Radiologist Clinician-Scientist Training Program.

The Lunch and Learn will be held in Room S403B, which is located in the middle of the long concourse on the 4th level of the South Building.
